BARIA’S is preparing to roll out a nationwide program offering water safety training and fisher wellbeing services across Uganda’s lakes.

Starting in Kalangala District (83+ islands), our plan is to reach all 800+ landing sites on Lake Victoria and later expand to other lakes—Kyoga, Albert, Edward, George and beyond.

  • Fishing Safety Training – Delivered by marine experts, Red Cross, and health officers.

  • Life Jacket Rental Scheme – Affordable, rotating access at UGX 1,000/day.
