BARIA’S Association of Uganda (BAU) was founded by a direct local fisherman who understood firsthand the dangers of life on the lake. Joined by clergy, marine experts, and health workers, we formed a grassroots team committed to one goal: saving lives.

We are faith-driven but action-oriented, combining prayer with practical tools—like lifejackets, training, and emergency response preparation.

Our vision is a safe, empowered, and sustainable fishing sector where no life is lost to preventable risks.
